How we price a standing seam roof in Ontario

How we form your quote

Every standing seam roof is quoted from the same set of measurements, not from a flat price sheet. We visit the site, take dimensions, and then price it against the exact profile, gauge, colour and finish you choose.

Roof area

Total square footage is the starting point, but we also measure the roof slope, overhangs and waste factor. Steeper roofs and complex footprints require more labour and more custom panels.

Roof complexity

Every valley, hip, dormer, skylight and chimney adds custom flashing labour. A simple gable is faster and cleaner than a cut-up Vaughan estate roof with five roof planes and multiple penetrations.

Panel profile & gauge

1" and 1.5" mechanical lock profiles are both available. 24-gauge Galvalume steel is standard for residential and commercial work; heavier 22-gauge and copper are available for premium or heritage projects.

Colour & finish

Standard architectural colours are included. Matte, weathered zinc, aged copper and custom colour matches require a different coil and are priced individually.

Accessories & upgrades

Custom eavestrough, ice-and-water shield upgrades, ridge ventilation, snow retention and additional flashing details are added to the quote only if you choose them.

Site access & travel

We roll-form panels on a mobile mill trailered directly to your job site. Site access, parking for the trailer and travel distance from Kleinburg are factored into every quote across the GTA, Muskoka and the rest of Ontario.

Why manufacturer-direct matters

Most Ontario standing seam contractors buy panels from a distributor, who buys from a mill. Each layer adds its own markup. We roll-form our own panels on-site, so the quote comes from one source — the same team that manufactures, supplies and installs the roof.
